#tedxtearo New Zealand has some great innovators but they get lifted out of our ecosystem and dropped into someone else’s (as soon as they sell up) leaving a huge mentoring gap for future startups. This forces us to almost start from scratch each time.
Governments four year cycle effectively takes them out of real innovation contention.
We need to foster a gene pool with innovation being part of our DNA. New Zealand has a prime opportunity in that respect.
